Step 4. Deploy a silent install of Adobe Flash for IE - Windows 8.1 to multiple machines

  1. Download and install PDQ Deploy
  2. Enter License Key information
  3. Import the Adobe Flash for IE – Windows 8.1 package into PDQ Deploy
  4. Right-mouse click on the imported package > Deploy Once
  5. Choose Targets from Active Directory, PDQ Inventory, Target List, etc.
  6. Click Deploy Now

Server 2012 and 2012 R2 will only install the Flash Hotfix if Desktop Experience is enabled. If Desktop Experience is not enabled Server 2012x will return error code 2.

NOTE: After Jan. 12, 2016 Microsoft no longer provides security updates for Windows 8. However, as 2012 and Windows 8 (64-bit) have always used the same Flash install file we will continue to offer Win 8 64-bit as long as it is available. Windows 8 (32-bit) will no longer be updated. Microsoft strongly recommends that you update your Windows 8 computers to Windows 8.1 or 10.
