Along with the bug fixes in the latest update to Admin Arsenal comes some big improvements to reporting. There are two new features which should make living with Admin Arsenal that much easier.

    Automatic Access Export

Admin Arsenal has always been able to export its database to Microsoft Access for use in custom reporting. However, it was always a manual process and every time you wanted an up-to-date snapshot you first had to export. Now, Admin Arsenal includes an automatic export. You simply point it to an Access Report Template file and every hour Admin Arsenal will export behind the scenes.

    SQL Reports

More important than the auto export is the ability to create new reports within Admin Arsenal itself.  Each report is simply made up of a single SQL query, allowing you to create almost any report you want. All existing reports are implemented this way making it easy to get started by making a copy of one of them.

There are several helps available to make the process easier:

    1. When editing the SQL of a report you can click on the Fields button on the right to get a menu of all table and field names in the database.

    2. The field can be added into the where clause of the SQL in order to allow the report to be filtered by the selected collection (the Computer table must also be included for it to work.)

    3. Feel free to visit our forums if you need any assistance. Our support staff or other PDQ.com users will be happy to help you build just the report you need.

Improved reporting has been one of the most requested features and we are pleased to be able to provide it for you.
