PDQ Deploy & Inventory system requirements

Servers and consoles

• Minimum OS: Windows 10 / Server 2016 or later
• Minimum memory: 4 GB RAM; 8 GB recommended
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later
• Installing on a domain controller or Microsoft Exchange Server is not recommended

Not supported:
• Windows 10 releases no longer supported by Microsoft
• Windows 7, 8, and 8.1
• Windows Vista, XP, and Home editions
• Windows Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 or earlier, Server 2012, and Server 2012 R2

Target machines

• Minimum OS: Windows 10 / Server 2016 or later
• Minimum memory: 1 GB RAM; 2 GB recommended
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later (can be remotely installed via PDQ Inventory)
• PowerShell 3+ recommended for PDQ Deploy

Not supported:
• Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1
• Windows Vista, XP, and Home editions
• Server 2012 R2 or earlier

Configuration

Windows Firewall:

• Allow inbound file and printer sharing exception

This rule allows the IPC$ and ADMIN$ shares to be available. Administrative access to these shares is required.

• Allow ICMP exceptions (allow inbound echo request)

This rule allows a target computer to respond to ping requests.

PDQ Connect system requirements

Operating system	• Workstations: 64-bit Windows 10 or later • Servers: Windows Server 2016 or later
Processor	• Minimum: 64-bit Intel Pentium 1.0 GHz / AMD Athlon 1.0 GHz • Recommended: Any modern 64-bit Intel or AMD processor, 3.0 GHz or higher
Memory	• Minimum: 512 MB RAM • Recommended: 4 GB RAM or higher
Storage	• Minimum: 8 GB available storage • Recommended: 8 GB or higher available storage

PDQ Detect system requirements

Agent-based

Windows	• Minimum OS: Windows 7 SP1 / Server 2008 R2 SP1 • Disk space required: 500 MB • Windows Management Instrumentation service must be enabled and running
macOS	• Minimum OS: macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later • Disk space required: 200 MB
Linux	• Minimum OS: Ubuntu 18.04 or newer, Debian 11 or newer, SUSE SLES 12 SP5 / openSUSE Leap 42 or newer • Disk Space Required: 200 MB

Agentless (internal scanner)

Cloud-based VM	Azure or AWS
On-prem VM	• VMware Fusion/Workstation Player/Workstation Pro 14+ (VMDK and OVA) • Microsoft Hyper-V • QEMU
