James Petty

James, who serves as the director of information technology at TextRequest, is a four-time Microsoft MVP awardee. He serves as the volunteer CEO at DevOps Collective INC. This nonprofit organization focuses on technology education — particularly PowerShell, automation, and DevOps, gaining recognition through free online resources like PowerShell.org.

As the lead author of "Learn PowerShell in a Month of Lunches" (fourth edition) and "Learn PowerShell Scripting in a Month of Lunches" (second edition), both published by Manning, James showcases his literary contributions.

James's core passion lies in automation, demonstrated through his adept use of tools like PowerShell, Azure, and Windows Server environments. With over a decade of experience as an infrastructure administrator for businesses of various sizes, he has honed his expertise.

Residing in Chattanooga, Tennessee, James shares his life with his wife, daughters, two dogs, and two cats.
